The Certified Executive Manager (CEM) certification is ideal for those who require insight into a fully integrated strategic management framework. The course provides insights into striking a balance between formal deliberate strategies (the strategic plan) and informal, emerging strategies. The CEM professional qualification addresses strategy as a system with a focus on strategy as practice at the coal face; and includes an appreciation of organisational purpose; insight into the use, application, impact and benefit of the strategic architecture, and hands on experience in environmental scanning, futures thinking and development of scenario analysis.

The CEM course will appeal to individuals seeking a full insight into contemporary strategy theory and practice, which includes marketing, finance and cost management strategies. The course content provides a deeper insight into more complex areas of strategy and the ‘people’ aspects of strategic management including organisational leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Continuous assessment and or three hour exam will be conducted.

Mr Christos Ioannou holds BA (Hons) in International Accounting and Master in Business
Administration (Finance). Furthermore, he holds the professional qualifications of Certified
Management Accountant, Chartered Manager and Certified Financial Consultant. He is the local
representative of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia. He has an
extensive working experience in the field of business & management as a Financial Manager the last
22 years, working in local large diversified corporations. Additionally, he is an authorized
professional trainer of Human Resource Development Authority. During his career he trained
hundreds’ of entrepreneurs and managers via master class seminars organized by Cyprus Chamber
of Commerce and Industry. He is a lecturer in Accountancy at the University of Nicosia and
Intercollege Nicosia and furthermore he is a Doctorate (DBA) candidate at the same University. He is
the course leader and trainer of Certified Executive Manager Program of AFMA (Academy of Finance
& Management Australia).
